Description: Interior of a probable Haarlem book and art store. On the left, behind the counter, the shopkeeper is sitting or standing, with two customers in front of her. Behind the counter racks with packs of paper and some books with the cut and locks forward, as was customary in those days. To the right of center a customer in conversation with the shopkeeper. On the wall are probably paintings, prints and/or drawings.
